Simple As 123 Meal Preps & Catering is a local company in Orlando, Florida, specializing in comfort-style meal preparation. SA123’s goal was to create a platform where their customers could choose their weekly meals via an online portal.

With keeping cost low at the forefront of this project, I opted to create a WordPress site with Woocommerce integration. The order page, however, contains an Angular application to guide the user through the order steps. This Angular application utilizes the Google Maps API to determine if the user is eligible for delivery or pick-up. In addition, it allows the user to select a delivery day and even their combination of meals for the week. Finally, To complete the detailed ordering process, I developed custom WooCommerce templates for the cart, checkout, and account pages.

Though WordPress is not my favorite technology, it is cost-effective for some projects depending on the goal. Therefore, I don’t shy away from customizing well-known and reliable plugins to make them fit the needs of a project.
